Edinburgh International Conference Centre — Scotland's premier, sustainable congress venue.

Dear Colleagues,

The British Neuropathological Society (BNS) is delighted to host the XXIst International Congress of Neuropathology at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), in the heart of Scotland’s capital from 19th – 23rd September 2027.

Almost 15 years have passed since the highly successful European Congress of Neuropathology was held at the EICC in 2012 and the BNS hope to exceed the expectations in 2027 with the International Congress.

The 2027 Congress will build on the success of the European Congress of Neuropathology held in Edinburgh in 2012 to bring together academic, business and trade experts to share knowledge and learn about the latest innovations across all aspects of neuropathology. As well as focusing on neuropathology, the Congress will expand its reach to include the latest developments in neuro-oncology, neurodegenerative disorders and neuromuscular diseases.

The Congress will include thought-provoking presentations, posters and an extensive trade exhibition in a world class, purpose-built venue fitting to showcase the Congress theme of “Modernising Diagnostic Neuropathology”. There will also be ample opportunity for networking and exciting social events in Scotland’s magnificent capital city.

The 2027 Congress will be a forum for industry and academic experts, along with trade and commercial partners, to meet and discuss all aspects of diagnostic and research neuropathology. The Scientific Committee will deliver a thought-provoking programme of presentations and posters, as well as novel social events, public talks and networking opportunities.

As well as the usual mix of keynote speakers and presentations of the latest high-quality evidence during plenary sessions, there will be expert panel discussions and parallel streams focusing on technical matters particularly focusing on molecular neuropathology, digital pathology and machine learning tools in diagnostic neuropathology.

We enthusiastically invite you to Edinburgh for what will be a rewarding and stimulating meeting.
